primary schools in Marston?

We are trying to find affordable housing in Oxford - dd1 already at school in Jericho and very happy there so would like to be not too far away. But will need to find new schools for younger children. Marston looks like an option, but what are the primary schools like there? Anyone any experience, good or bad, of any of the schools there? Thanks.

Any views at all?? What about Marston as a place to live more generally? It just seems to be the right end of Oxford for us and considerably cheaper than Jericho/Summertown. Wolvercote might be another option but fewer rental properties around there it seems.

Don't have personal experience. Had a friends who lived there. They were happy with the schools, both primary and secondary. Then their landlady raised the price (it was some sort of contractor through the University) and they could not find anything for that price so they had to move out.

Marston is fine, probably a bit quieter and less vibrant than Jericho or Summertown - not many shops, cafes etc. but all in all a decent place to live. Close to the city centre and good for cycling. Primary schools are all pretty good, pm me if you want more information. The secondary is Cherwell, same as for Jericho and Summertown.

We live in Marston and find it a very convenient place to live in terms of location. The houses are cheaper than Jericho/ summertown. Our eldest goes to the local preschool which she loves and we are now thinking about schools for September so interested to hear any thoughts from others about schools. Our local ones are new marston or st nicks, we aren't catholic so don't think we have a chance at getting in to st Joseph's.
