I would really like to gage the Leicestershire parent and families opinion on using a private health care service for your family.
I currently work in a very busy health visiting team and have done for 11 years, and i love my job very much. I have a Degree in families, parenting and community health and a diploma in nursery nursing, with over 16 years experience across many settings, predominately in the NHS.
I am in the process of planning a new business venture in delivering a tailored personalised individual based child health support service from birth through to school age children in the Leicestershire area.
I would be offering packages of care in relation to every aspect of child health development assessments, through many stages of your babies and child's life. supporting you as a whole family.
this service will offer newborn support packages, behaviour management support, sleep consultancy, feeding and nutrition support, growth assessments, and specialist packages for special educational needs. and first day contacts whereby i visit you the day following your discharge from hospital or home birth and support with various aspects of reassurance, care, feeding support whether that's breast or bottle feeding, the basics and everything else in between....
I was hoping to get some feedback on what parents would really like to see from the services I can offer privately or what they would love to have following the birth of you baby but just wasn't offered that within the NHS, I therefore want to offer families a continual, consistent and caring service at a time that suits you, working evenings and weekends and nights!!
I'm also looking at delivering packages of training corporately to child care related settings, nurseries, playgroups, child-minding groups, pre-school settings, toddler groups, where I can deliver training on various child related subjects in a convenient and local venue for you.
if any parent, professional or anyone would like to comment on what they would like to see on offer from a private health visiting service, something you don't see now in the service you have from the NHS then please get in touch, id welcome any feedback on whether you think this would be a service welcomed and well used etc.
