Hello. New to this site, and might be too old (!) but wondering if anyone knew what Bath College is like? DS is 16 next year and we're moving to Bath in the summer. He's good at art and design. It seems to have a good reputation for that. Thanks! Smile

Bath College's Art Foundation course for post-6th form is considered the best out this way along with Weston-Super-Mare. Most of their students go on from there to art/design uni degrees. My DD did the course a couple of years ago.

At 6th form I've heard Ralph Allen and Beechen Cliff are good for art, avoid Hayesfield as the teaching at senior level is lacking.

Thanks frazmum. He'd be doing BTEC, not foundation. Did your DD know anyone who did their A levels there?

Yes, know others who've done A levels there. Here in Bath at 6th form with some secondaries children can go to another secondary or Bath college for a specific subject that either their school doesn't do or clashes with their timetable. Bath College is good, you get the odd tutor who isn't great but that can applies everywhere. Good Luck with it all.
