Looking for free stuff to do with the kids

Hi, am going to be staying with a relative in Southampton with the kids next week, can anyone recommend some free or cheap places to go with them? I have a car so I don't mind driving a little way. Are there any good parks or splashpools? Thanks in advance.

I don't think the sea city museum is free? That's why I never went.
