Hello all, first ever post.....
I am a qualified accountant (FCCA, TEP, CAMS) with 10+ years experience in the financial services industry (hedge funds, private equity, family office, trusts etc).
We are currently offshore, looking to return to the UK and seriously considering Bristol. I will contact recruitment agencies nearer the time but wanted to get some other more 'thinking outside of the box ideas' on potential employers for me to contact. Maybe you know of one that has a good reputation for staff retention, is family friendly, in a good location, has parking or near public transport links etc.
Would be suited for management accountant, financial accountant or financial controller type roles. Not necessarily in financial services, it could be for a law firm for example or a firm that actually makes something like a manufacturer. I would also look at treasurer or bursar roles at a uni or police force for example.
Will also need to consider schools and where to live, but they are other posts for another day, right now I need to assess employment opportunities and get an idea of salary range for our budget.
Also, is the enterprise zone worth a look?
