Moving to west essex

Hello, I'm moving to Ongar but have no idea where are my nearest big towns that people know. Any-one close by?

I'm about 20 mins away from Ongar. I moved here just over a year ago, so still not the best person to advise on the area, but I would say Chelmsford is your nearest big town.

I still tend to go to Bluewater for shopping though. I never have been keen on Lakeside.

Where are you moving from?

Chelmsford, Brentwood and Harlow are fairly close, Ongar is Lovely.
