Hi everyone,

I'm currently looking for a good pre school for my daughter and someone recommended River House in South Quay.

Was wondering what your views and experiences have been or maybe you know of another good pre school that you would recommend.

Thanks

HI my son was in pre school there a few years ago, he was very happy. He moved school for year 3 but now i have a daughter and moved back to the area to have her going there as I do wish her to have the same. My son was very happy.

Hi, my son was at Riverhouse for 4 years from pre-school to the end of Year 2. He started in Year 3 at a selective junior school earlier this month. I can recommend Riverhouse. My son was always happy there, and he still speaks highly of the school. Good behaviour and independence are succesfully nurtured. Competition and comparison are avoided. Riverhouse apply setting in various subjects (silently), and so they can cater for a wide range of levels. Education in foreign languages gets a good start. Outdoor space is limited, as one might expect from a school in Canary Wharf. Indoors, the school is bright and spacious. A fair number of children leave for selective junior schools outside central London at the end of Year 2. In so far I can tell, children manage to get good places, and are well-prepared for their next step. I hope this helps.

May i ask why so many parents change their children to other schools at the end of year 2? Also, what schools do they tend to choose? I have a daughter with offers here and at a couple of other independent schools and having difficulty in knowing which one to choose....
