Second hand

Hi,

I will be moving to York from overseas this fall with my family. We are trying to bring a minimum of things with us as the shipping cost is very high so I was wondering if there are any second hand stores, markets or stores you could recommend in York selling used/cheap (but in good condition) cutlery, tableware and the things you need the most at home.

Hi Hildur, there is a thriving charity shop scene (if you can call it that!) along Goodramgate in the town centre. Failing that try posting on local FB sites asking people for what you need.

There's a v good charity furniture shop in Heworth and the BHF one is great too.
