Hi all. I've just recently moved to Edinburgh with my 11yr old to start a new job. I was feeling pretty smug that I managed to find a job, flat, childcare, great school and move single-handed but the one thing that worries me is what to do when my job requires me to be away from home overnight. This won't happen often and my new employer is understanding of my situation but I'd rather not say no to everything - I've already had to turn down two things for September. Any suggestions on safe, reliable overnight options? Maybe there are parents out there in the same position and we could help each other out?
