Hey Mum's.. Ive lived the last 20 years in Bahrain in the Middle East. We've just moved back to the UK with my 11 and 12yr old boys. Loved the life of an expat. Very sociable and everyone goes the extra mile at making friends as you are all away from your family.
I'm not from the area but fell in love with place, bought a house by the river and thought we'd give it a go.
My boys are very sporty, they will start at St Ivo's in Sept and i am desperate for info on where to go, what to do and how to meet nice, friendly people.
I love music and art and travel.... missing Trader Vics cocktail bar but not the sunshine as the weather for the last 5 weeks has been amazing. Not sure how i'll deal with the winter, but we'll give it a go.
All advice gladly received... it seems a bit harder when your kids are older and not attending baby groups any more.
Thanks in advance
Gail

How is the river with the rain?

Huntingdon dosent have much in the range of night time haunts other than The Bridge. I'm going to assume you've been to the Barley Mow which does nice meals. St Ives has a good range of bars & eateries & worth an explore.

Yeah :))) wandered down to the Barley Mow :) lovely food and just down the road and across ... Nice :) we've taken the boat down to the Bridge for a drink - all very nice, looking for rugby club for the boys but guessing all that will start in sept ...

Just for you

I'm glad the rain didn't get to high that's not what you would want to deal with in your new home
