Hi Michelle, hope you get more replies than ive had!
I was recommended to this site but find it very flat and quiet. I find alot of threads are from alomg time ago and when I started a thread for advice nobody replied. Ive also tried to enquire about the local meet ups in lower parkstone (which says active) but had no reply to my private msg sent?!
Hope you can make a difference here:( x

Hello,

I am really sorry to hear that, i don't know why more people didn't reply to you. I hope more people will come and say hello as this site has a lot of members. I also run the Mumsnet Dorset site so i am always around somewhere. You can message me any time on [email protected], if anyone finds they aren't getting replies to meet-ups and we can sort something out.

Please do stick around and i hope to chat with you some more Thanks

Hi,. We moved to the Colehill area a couple of months ago. All good so far. My little boy started reception at St James'. Always interested in finding out about the area.

Hi!

I've just signed up to MN this afternoon to see what the fuss is about, I'm 36+1 with my first (a little boy!) and I am just so bored on maternity leave! None of my friends have children or are pregnant so I thought I could get some advice on here :) Hope I've come to the right place, going to try and get to grips with using the forums and see what hints and tips people have to offer x

Hello and welcome Smile

I remember the stage waiting on the arrival of baby, and people telling me to enjoy it as it would soon be manic. It is true! Enjoy every moment, read, sleep, plan ahead and buy all your birthday and xmas cards. Anything you can, because once baby comes every spare minute you get will be spent gazing at him. I remember trying to find a moment to clean my teeth!

I have four, so any advice ask away and congrats!!

Hi everyone,

I'm an expectant first time father (5 months so far) and have lived in Bournemouth my whole life.

My Fiance and I are hoping to compare notes with any local couples who are at the same stage as us and perhaps get some pointers from those who were first timers too?

NCT or not NCT, antenatal courses, maternity/paternity leave benefits etc.

Andy

Hi, I've just joined mumsnet to find out more about what it's like to live in dorset. I live in Sussex at the moment but but want to move west within the next year. Gillingham looks good on paper as it's halfway between my parents in Wiltshire and the coast and has a train service for my oh. Also, I need a special needs school for my daughter and the one at Sturminster Newton looks good. When I google gillingham it seems to come up with more negative comments than positive so I would really appreciate it if anyone who lives in the area can tell me what it's like. Thanks :-)
