I need some advice.....
I'm returning to work in September after 9 months mat leave and mum is doing child care for me for the 3 days that I'm going back... Great. The problem is I want to stay in control of what he eats and drinks and when and how long he sleeps etc etc! Mum doesn't really do routine and whenever she looks after him, he hasn't had his usual naps, and has been given all sorts to eat! Should I just be grateful that she is doing my child care and shut up, or am I justified in trying to control the situation more?? I feel quite stressed about it.. Thoughts please x

Honestly? If you want that level of control, I think you need to use paid for care.

Will she be caring for him at your home or hers? If yours I suppose you can leave all meals and snacks prepped but if you are not comfortable with how she is going to care for him, you might need to reconsider the arrangement.

(Of course if you are paying your mum, that is a different matter but probably tricky to manage the employee / relation balance).
