Hi
I'm looking to move out of central Croydon possibly to Coulsdon (we need more space now I have 2 kiddies: 6 months and 3 years)
Anyone have any insights into Coulsdon? Old coulsdon v coulsdon
Keston primary is it good?
Any parts to avoid?!.I want to be near nice families and children ;-)
Local community is there much going on?
Sorry questions questions!

I thoroughly recommend Coulsdon. My kids are older, so can't comment on what there is to do for pre-schoolers, but the area is full of families and houses tend to have decent sized gardens. I don't know Keston very well, but the Coulsdon schools are good (and big, so may have larger catchment areas). chipstead Valley is rated outstanding, and is going up to 3 form entry I think next year, Woodcote is 3 form entry. Coulsdon is probably better than Old Coulsdon if you need to commute by train.

We moved to Coulsdon last November, I am very happy here! Love my home and the accessibility to Coulsdon Town train station. Woodcote High is the local school and it is on my CAF this October.
All the best in your move

Hi arteditor

We moved to Old Coulsdon in March this year from Richmond and we love it. Our daughter is 21 months and we have number 2 on the way. Nice villagey feel, nice neighbours and some lovely parks in the village and nearby. Some nice mum and baby clubs including the under 3 club and chuckle tots. Nice community feel, duck pond working days, bulb planting and fundraising for the improving local play equipment etc/

I work in central London and commute from Coulsdon Sth most mornings and have had no issues. We preferred Old Coulsdon due to the look of the village etc but there are lots of nice roads in Couldson town too. Our daughter goes to the Laurels nursery which is really nice and there are a number of nursery and pre-school options around. I understand that St John's (C of E) is oftsed outstanding and Keston was outstanding but is currently good.

HTH and good luck with the move.
