Have a look here. Lots of information on events happening during the summer holidays.

Sorry I don't. I only know Newcastle. I got the link from Newcastle city council website though, so try Gateshead one.

There's a Facebook group called newcastle free or cheap things to do with kids (god I hope that's what it's called now I've said it!) that has loads of ideas on.

My day trips ideas so far are going to be:

town for the museums: Hancock / discovery.

Saltwell park

Tynemouth for beach / crazy golf / markets

Brockbushes for fruit picking

I'm going to bite bullet and goto beamish (think it's £18 per adult but for a year pass)

Haltwhistle has the outdoor swimming pools

Prudhoe has a castle which is tiny but good for a nose around

Erm.... I'm sure there is more. I'll have a think and get back to you if there is!

I've just realised they are all around Newcastle but not actually in it though.... So not sure how helpful I have been!

Thanks Grin
We have booked several activities at bill quay farm, then we have paid for a family ticket to gosforth park funday, also got museums on my list and saltwell.

I have also exchanged some clubcard vouchers for lightwater valley tickets.
