Fleet & Elevtham Heath - will I be happy there ?

We are looking to move from South West London to the fleet area. We've looked around the town and also the Elevtham Heath area.

Are certain areas better than others ?
Any insider advice ?

Has anyone relocated to Fleet - how easy was it to make friends ?

I'm a stay at home with DD (2) and nervous about leaving my friends / support network that I've built up in London.

Anyone in fleet ??

I don't live there myself but have a couple of friends who've move from Wimbledon and Clapham to Fleet and they love it! They've met people locally and there's loads to do with kiddies. They've both got pre-schoolers.

They both live near the leisure centre and Calthorpe Park.

We live just outside fleet (Hook) moved here 10 years ago with DS (then aged 2) and now also DS (now aged 8). Loads of family activities (as with anywhere you have to go out and join in) but the area is full of young families so plenty to meet and join. Worth making sure you are in the tight catchment for EH school if you decide there as its almost impossible to get a place otherwise.

Hello ! Thanks for all the advice. We've now SOLD our house and desperate to find somewhere in fleet. Does anyone want to sell me their house lol !!

Definitely not, we're very happy in Fleet. There is always new stuff coming on the market though. Good luck!
