Hi all,
My partner and I are thinking of moving to Eastbourne as we feel it would be a great area to raise a family. We took a trip down last week and saw a few areas but we are somewhat confused about areas in which to buy.
We love the sea and ideally want to be within 10-15 min walk of the seafront. We drove around Roselands area and it seems like a great community but any comments on this area? We saw a house we like on Marlow Avenue if that means anything to anybody....
The other area we saw was the Redoubt area and a house on Penhale Road. This seems closer to the sea so less garden/house which we understand the reasons for - what we don't know is what the schools are like in this area and people?
Surprised at house prices in Sovereign Harbour as it seems they are often a little less than Eastbourne itself. What puts us off here is that we are unsure how long it would take to walk to a beach, any ideas?
I hear the most expensive part are the 'Meads' so closer to Beachy head side and Old Town. I think we probably prefer the other side but completely open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Nick
