Hi, my name is Becky, I'm 25 and just moved to the Sheldon area from Wiltshire due to my partner working at Landrover.
We have two children, DS is two and a half and DD is 6 months old.
I have joined one toddler group in Solihull and love it but I haven't had a proper chance to chat to any other mums yet as it's a dance group and very fast paced.
My son is very social and really misses seeing his friends so I'm desperate to meet other mums with children of a similar age group. DD I feel so guilty for as she hasn't really ever had a chance to play with any babies her age. We have literally spent my entire maternity leave organising and being let down over and over again with this move!
I am a very easy going person and would love to meet other mums and start socialising up here. As you can imagine it's been a big upheaval moving here and leaving everyone behind so I'm really keen to get settled down and more comfortable here.
The silly thing is that I've chatted to lots of mums in odd places like John Lewis baby change in Touchwood but never had the confidence to say 'I just moved here and don't know anyone please give me your contact details and let's meet up again', it feels so desperate and pathetic!
Anyway, if you fancy meeting up for a coffee and some adult conversation whilst kids have fun please do let me know.
I will be going back to work full time in September but free as a bird (well, a bird with two babies!) until then.
Thanks

Hi Becky, I'm new to mumsnet and as I used to work more hours I feel out of the loop re mum friends. I have a 6 year old son, however I have some friends who have younger children. We are planning to meet up every week during the school hols in Elmdon Park, so if you want, I could let you know time + date etc? And it isn't pathetic not knowing other mums, I find being at home more, quite lonely as my partner works nights. Take care + kind regards, Lucy xx
