Want to interview a senior politician next Wednesday?

Hi all

Mumsnet Glasgow has been offered the fantastic opportunity of interviewing Jo Swinson MP, the Minister for employment relations, consumer affairs, and women and equalities.

It's a great opportunity to quiz her about issues like shared parental leave, flexible working and women in business.

However, Mumsnet Glasgow is not very sure she can get the time off work :-) So I wondered if any of our intrepid Glasgow Mumsnetters might be up for it?

You'd need to be free around 11.30am next Wednesday and able to get to Glasgow City Centre. You'd also need to be able to write up and post the interview within the next few days.

I need to get back to them asap, so post here or PM me if you want to be considered.

Thanks!

C

Can't tempt anybody? It would be fun, you could pretend to be Jeremy Paxman and ask difficult questions while making a frowny face!

sounds fab but although I'm off work that day, I have other appointments and couldn't do it.

Sorry,
Jo Swinson fills me with horror (and I voted for her once). Switch of womens hour every time she comes on, and she seems to be on a lot.

I would have been keen and have plenty experience and appreciate the work she does in East Dunbartonshire but she's a very active 'Better Together' campaigner so I don't feel it would be a very successful interview...

LocalEditorGlasgow · 21/07/2014 21:32

It might have been a very lively conversation, assuming you're a Yes person keepkelvineyc! I've asked if we can do an email interview instead, so if they say yes I will start a new thread asking people to submit questions.

I would love to interview her , I live in Bearsden and frankly I wonder what the heck they are all playing at ? The airport and flight path are very noisy , parking is a mare and schools are overfull.
Mind I am not a better together fan so I may be a little difficult with that

Numanoid · 12/08/2014 10:08

I'm not a Better Together supporter either, but that could make for a few interesting (although polite of course!) questions for an email interview. Would be interesting to hear her thoughts/reasoning behind certain things.

An email interview is still on the cards, will report back as soon as I have something confirmed!
