-Hello, to all you mums out there, I am going to be moving from New Zealand to Dundee.

We are leaving here NZ on the 12th of September, we have been living out here for nearly 6 years, and only really came for my husband's career, and we had our only gorgeous daughter Chloe here as well who is coming up 5 on the 18th of September. We lived in Darlington County Durham before that and we were born in England.

My husband has got offered a position working at Abertay University as a Senior Lecturer.
So I guess I have a lot of questions to ask you?

First we need a nice area to live in with a good school for Chloe, we were thinking of renting for 6 months and then buying our own home after that. So we don't know whether to rent in the city of Dundee or slightly outside?

I have been looking at some houses to rent in Broughty Ferry, then when I spoke to someone in the Education - Dundee Council department, they said that two schools were full and one wasn't full and they were accepting entries from anywhere.

Also they start P1 and term in Dundee on the 20th of August, and Chloe would have started school on her birthday. So by the time we actually get up to Dundee it is going to be about the 20th of September and by the time Chloe gets over her jet lag etc..? It could be the end of October before she starts school.

Our things are going to be shipped in a couple of weeks, and we have to find a house to rent on the internet to rent before we leave, my husband's brother and his wife can check it out and sort the deposit on it for us as they live in Edinburgh.

So I guess I am asking your advice on what area's to look at in the Dundee area, recommended schools that I can get Chloe into, easy commuting into Dundee for my husband's work and myself, and also close to activities and things to do.

I am a personal Trainer, wellbeing Consultant and teach Pilates, Fitness and Nutrition to groups and individuals. I have been looking at David Lloyds that looks like a nice club to be close too, for all of us, as Chloe also has swimming lessons and is a very fit and active little girl.

I would appreciate your help, as I feel I really don't know which way to go in this situation, as I don't know Dundee and the surrounding area.

Thanks
