We'd like to know your thoughts on the new school holiday rules

Hi everyone,

We would like to know whether you have been impacted by the new rules about banning parents from removing children from school for holidays.

Has it effected you personally?

Do you agree/believe that it is a good idea or not?

I personally don't agree with it, why should we all be penalised for the few families that take it for granted.
A lot of our friends work in the leisure & tourism industry and the only chance that they get to go away themselves is out of season. They are now no longer able to do this unless they are willing to pay the fines!
It's another case of 'nanny state'. Surely we as parents should be able to make our own decisions about our children's education?

It now forces parents to have to pay twice as much for a holiday and some families just can't afford to do it.
