Highams Park Nurseries - which one to choose?

Hi there,

I'm 24 weeks pregnant and will be moving to Highams Park soon. I'd like to know which nursery is most recommended for babies in the area. I know I'd like my son to go to Montessori (Walthamstow) but that's from 2 years onwards. I'm planing to stay on maternity for 10 months so will need a trusted place to leave him at from month 9 until he's 2 years old (approximately 2-3 days/week).

I know I'm planning well ahead but I also know how hard it is to find a really good nursery so I've decided to start my research now :)

Any help would be most appreciated!

HI Kashka,

If you are interested in the Montessori approach you might want to check out Chingford House School (formerly known as Buttercups) on Marlborough Road E4. Both my kids went there and did very well. CHS is good for access to transport links as its a 5-10 min walk to Highams Pk station and also on all the bus routes down the mount.

Also in North Chingford there is a Montessori nursery - not sure of the name though. Various people I know have been happy with their approach too.
