French families/community in Nottingham/Derby?

I'm considering returning to the UK from France with my 8 year old daughter, and we are looking at the Nottingham/Derby area.

Can anyone tell me if there is a strong French community and if there are any secondary schools which good languages facilities? My daughter is fluent French, so we are not looking for French lessons as such, just to get to know people whose first language is French.

Sorry you haven't had much of a response, it's been a quiet couple of weeks here. I don't have any particular knowledge but I know there are French-speaking meet-up groups in Nottingham e.g. the Alliance Francaise (Nottingham Anglo-French Society) which holds talk and events and their web-site mentions a fortnightly meet-up town.

When I did French evening classes I remember the native-speaker teacher saying she was part some such social group. So, not very specific and nothing more than you could Google but just confirmation that there are active groups around.

The universities attract a lot of overseas students and way well have some relevant societies too.
