Hello!
I'm a new mum to a lovely 3 week ok boy and I'm in need of some mum friends to get to know before I become a hermit and spend my days absorbed in day time telly!

I recognise your scenario, there was only so much Housewives of Atlanta/Orange County or New Jersey I could stomach! I would recommend looking at what the NCT has to offer in your area. You don't necessarily need to be a member to attend a course, drop in session or coffee and chat. When my son was five weeks I attended their early days course and found it to be really useful. The best part is we have all remained friends and meet up on a regular basis with our little ones who are now 14-17mths old. The NCT run a drop in session on a Friday at Brookvale Community Centre in town and also baby and mummy yoga. There are lots of other activities going on that are run by children's centres and the RCS (a rural play scheme that can be found on facebook). Hope you get out soon to enjoy the sunshine.
