Kew college or Broomfield house?

Hi. We are considering either Kew College or Broomfield house for our sone next September. Could anyone offer any advice or opinions on these schools please?

We both work FT so the childcare of BH is attractive, plus they have more space and hot lunches. Though KC has a really friendly feel and excellent results with wider breadth of leaver destination. Am torn and have visited both, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

They are both really good schools. Do you have any specific questions?

Hi. Thanks for getting back to me. I just wondered what experiences parents had had, what the school gate chat is like, is there good parental networking and relationship with teachers etc. The schools both had good factual open days. Thanks.

Hello, I am a little biased - my sister and I went to Broomfield, my daughter is starting in sept and her sister in 2016 - but I can really recommend Broomfield. Lovely teachers, great space, very good (I think unrivalled) staff to pupil ratio and known for being down to earth (less snobby than other richmond borough schools). It's a smaller school than kew college with a lovely family vibe (families go for generations). In terms of destination schools, there is no advantage one over the other as far as I am aware. Broomfield has great focus on the individual child and academically we can't fault it. Good luck with your choice x

My children are both at Kew College and we are really happy with the school. Really good relationships with the teachers and head, other parents are lovely, good facilities. I also really like that there are two classes in each years which are remixed each year so they can separate kids who need to be apart, rebalance etc. But we have friends at Broomfield and they love that too.
