School place planning petition

We have really struggled with school places. The council seem to be unprepared for the extra demand arising from house building and population growth.

I feel that it damages communities to have primary aged children placed in schools far from their home and/or sibling groups being separated. It creates extra traffic, places huge stress on families and prevents local friendships.

I have started a petition to press the council to take greater responsibility for how they plan school places and how the deal with problems when they occur.
