If more women breastfed and midwives and health visitors had better training in breast feeding there would be fewer stories of women having a hideous time.

Breastfeeding is usually better not just for the baby but for the mum too.

Breastfeeding rates in this country are low. A few women feel stigmatised for not persevering with breastfeeding but there many more women who would be able to breastfeed very successfully who choose not to.
