Playgroup at Salvation Army hall on Kingston road: does it exist?!?

There are notices outside saying Parent and Toddler group on Mondays and Thursdays and online evidence that a playgroup exists there... But I have been along three times on Mondays and Thursdays and the doors are locked!! Am I missing something? Is there another entrance? Anyone know any more...?

I've emailed their SE England Office to ask the question, Everhart.

There is also a phone number for Wimbledon (0208 542 4197) and the Salvation Army Lieutenant is called Annette Wicks. Does that help?

According to their website they are open on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, so theoretically you should be able to get in, regardless of whether there's a playgroup running or not.

Thank you!! Will try that number...
Maybe I am just pushing at the wrong door... :)

I've had an email back (from the Divisional Programme Support Officer
London South East Division) to say that they're looking into this for you, so watch this space!

Don't give up on this Everhart - re-emailed the guy again today and confirmed that he's on the case and will let us know as and when he hears anything - hopefully before you have another attempt to get in!

Here is the response you've been waiting for Everhart!

"At last............

The Corps Officer responded and has said they are open Mondays and Thursdays. It is the side entrance you need to go down, not the front entrance

There is a waiting list for Mondays but she has said for you to contact her, either at the hall 0208 542 4197 or at home 0208 542 3023.

I will also remind the Officer (Lieutenant Annette Wicks) that you can be contacted via email or through registering on Mumsnet"

Hope that helps :-)

Let us know how you get on and good luck! And if you have any more details about times etc.....could you let us know and I will list the playgroups - the more the merrier and oh so useful for those with pre-schoolers to entertain Wink.
