Infant/Primary School Banstead and surrounding area

Hi,

My dd will be starting infant school in Sept 2015. I was wondering if anyone could recommend good infant/primary schools in banstead and surrounding areas. We really like banstead infant school but we need to have back up, in case we don't get our first choice.

Also I'm not sure how close you have to live to the school to be in catchment area. Anyway I can find this out?

For admission this September the furthest distance where someone was offered a place was 2,96km away from the school. You can find the information in the Surrey County Council primary schools admission booklet on their website.

Having said that, Surrey operate a closest school criteria, so it's theoretically possible to live further away from the school but get a place through this criteria (which outranks distance). I'm not sure how it works as Sutton doesn't have anything similar.

Also, Banstead school is now an academy, so the admissions criteria may have changed - again, I'm not familiar with it so it's worth checking.
