I'd love to know what awkward questions your children have asked.

Dr Amanda Gummer, Play & Parenting Psychologist is writing a piece or two for our Mumsnet Berkshire blog
www.mumsnetlocalberkshire.wordpress.com and is going to be providing us with tips and ways to answer those awkward questions.

You can either post those questions here or you can email [email protected]. All questions will be put forward anon and I'll let you all know when your questions have been answered.

My 6 year old has been asking why his science books (he is a bit of a bookworm) say the universe was made by the Big Bang but at church they say God made it. He keeps asking me who is 'lying'.

Why do people die? Where do they go? (I struggle with that one too!)

Why do grown ups argue? Shouldn't they know better because you get told off if you do it when you are little.

Re death, I had a child who conducted a full funeral for her hamster including copious wailing, hymns and a reading. Then turned to me with a beaming smile and asked "can we dig him up and bury him again- that was fun!"

How to answer your child when they ask why daddy left. I say because he doesn't love mummy anymore and reassure her that we both love her. But is that the right thing to say?

Question submitted via email:

What does the tooth fairy do with the teeth they collect?
