Hello, I am buying a house in Orpington and plan to do some work before moving in, ie: a new open plan kitchen, new floors, living/dinning space... Can you recommend a local builder for this type of work? Thank you v much in advance! Laura

Hi there, I know a really good builder, based in Orpington, his name is Tony Trott & has a website - www.thehouseworks.net. with contact details etc.
His crew are really nice / clean / polite etc - not the cheapest, but his work is 1st class !!! good luck.

Hi, I've been using and recommending the same builder for years. I stupidly went elsewhere when we had a lift conversion (misunderstanding re what he could do on my part). Long story short, when it all went wrong he and his crew saved us from disaster. You couldn't find a nicer, straighter bloke. Finish is excellent and prices fair. They've even been on DIY SOS! I'd recommend Puccini Kitchens. They're an independent setup who do quality kitchens at great prices IMO.They can design, supply and install, the whole lot. Ask for Andrew, really helpful guy. Based in Beckenham. Puccinikitchens.co.uk if I remember rightly or 020 3507 1937. Good luck!

Ray's team did our kitchen, bathrooms, fitted cupboards, decorating, pergolas, etc.

Forget to mention that Puccini Kitchens do have offers from time to time. Generally a free appliance, dishwasher or wine cooler or something like that. Consultations/ design are free too. Not to be sniffed at! Latest offers probably on the website if you're interested xx
