Oxted/Hurst Green nurseries

Can there really only be two day nurseries in Hurst Green/Oxted or am I looking in the wrong places? Larks and Woodlands are all I've found, both have no availability until September 2015. We're looking to move into the area later this year, I have an 11 month old who will need a nursery place for four days a week as I'll be commuting in to work. I was prepared for a bit of a waiting list but not that longterm (naïve probably!) There are some from 2 years old but many that seem to be mornings only... Are there not many working mums in the area? Or just lots of childminders/nannies? Can anyone shed any light please?

There is one off Oxted High street, can't remember its name though , and a Children's centre in Hurst Green which may have childcare or be able to refer you. Also try looking at the Family Grapevine

Between Downsend School and St. Peter's Catholic Primary School , Leatherhead:

My child is currently a student at Downsend School Leatherhead and due to start year 1 later in September if we decide to maintain current situation. However, the child has been offered a place at St. Peter's Catholic Primary school in Leatherhead. We are trying to make a decision between both schools with the primary objective of choosing the school which presents the best chance of getting admission to the top secondary school in the area, by age 11 or 13, as the case be. Given the financial implications and disparity of both schools, I will be much obliged if I can get some useful insights and advise on making the right choice. Thanks in advance.

Thanks LIZS. After further investigation can't find anywhere to offer a place before 2015, so looking to move elsewhere. Shame as we loved the area.
