Hi There,

I am new to Mumsnet so I hope this is the right place/format!

I am a single mum of a 3 year old boy who's about to turn 4 in July. We have been offered a place in reception for him at Tower Bridge Primary and have decided to turn down the place. I am seriously considering Home schooling and would like to know if there are any other likeminded parents out there?

I am a qualified teacher with full QTS and a photographer and a reiki master so the bulk of my work is on a freelance basis. Whilst I'd think home school is an option I don't think its healthy for my son to spend all of his time with me. Ideally I would like to find parents who would be interested in sharing home school responsibilities so that we can tailor the education to our individual kids needs whilst also freeing time up for ourselves.

It would be great to talk!

Hello scarlettcuk.

There is a H.ed section here with tons of threads.
Welcome to Mnet.
If you post there you will have more responses.
Go to talk, scroll to education, then more, then H.ed
Why it is so hidden I don't know.

Hi Scarllettcuk, and welcome to Mumsnet!

Hope you found the home ed talk board, which couldntresist directed you to?

Good luck!
