Horton area of Epsom?

Hi, there are a few homes for sale in the Horton area of Epsom. It seems a bit far from the station but can anyone tell me what sort of area it is? It seems it is part of the "Court" region of the borough which is apparently not so great? It looks nice but is it a relatively worse off area? Is it safe? Are there lots of "surrey mums" there or are people down to earth? There is a series of small alleys which look like short cuts to the station but again seems like I should not use these. Sorry for the numerous questions. Any insight into that area and the development would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I live in Epsom but not the Horton area. From what I've seen it seems like a nice area, certainly not 'rough'. Modern housing estate type area, but not 'council estate'. It's a bit of a trek from town, but cut throughs and alley ways shouldn't be a problem, I'd have thought there will be lots of other commuters using them. I regularly use alleys and cut throughs in other less well off areas of Epsom with no worries.
