Primary Schools in Redruth/Pool

DS is 3 and will be starting primary school in Sept 2015. I have recently started working in Pool and we are considering moving there. Does anyone know what the local primaries are like? I know the area but not schools although I am aware Pool Academy is a good secondary.

Any ideas? We're quite torn because I'm on a 1 year fixed term contract with no guarantee of extended employment so I may well not end up working there long term. If schools are great we will consider moving but if they aren't we probably would look at elsewhere.

Lots of resources are being ploughed into this area so really worth considering.

Thank you Kitchen. We do live locally, only 7ish miles away but I'm not very clued up on primary schools. We are house hunting and have found a lovely house but its taking that leap to commit!

Portreath not really an option as DP doesn't drive.
