We are currently living in glasgow but looking into moving to perthshire. Would like some advice on primary schools and nice areas in perthshire also ones to avoid.... we love comrie but very hard to get rental properties there. We are looking for some form of village life and good comunity to get involved in. We are driving up next week to have a check out at some places so some advice would be great .. thanks

Hi, I'm in Abernethy, been here for 6 years and have 3 kids. It's a great wee village, 10 mins from Perth. Really nice community, loads for the kids, very sociable. There's a brill tearoom (not old and fusty !) next to the church, museum, village shop, 2 parks that the community have just upgraded. Lots of kids activities like Brownies, Cubs, tennis, football, playgroup, mothers & toddlers. Lots of events on at the village hall too. The primary school has just been refurbished and extended and the staff there are very good. Surrounded by countryside, farm shop, I could go on all day. There's an Abernethy FB page with all the community listings too. 2 newish estates full of kids - really safe for them to go out to play in the summer. Come and see !

Murthly and Dunkeld are nice. Good primaries and easy links to the A9.
