Activities for 7 year old in June/July

I live overseas but will be visiting my Dad from 16th June to 10th July and will be based in Solihull.
Does anyone know of any activities my 7 year old can do?

Hi Marcopront, I will be uploading lots of events and activities for the summer over the next couple of weeks so keep a look out. But in the meantime, there are at least 5 great parks with good play areas in, in Solihull. The library and Solihull Arts Complex will have things going on too.

Stratford Upon Avon is a 25 min drive away and that's well worth a visit and lots to do for children there - great recreation ground down by the river or hire a boat for example.

Birmingham is just down the road and of course as a large city there is loads going on. local.mumsnet.com/birmingham-sutton-coldfield could be of some use too?

I should have clarified. I am a Silihillian by birth, I know places to go. My problem is that as I will be there during school term time there are very few organised activities. I wanted to know if anyone know of any.
