Thanks for posting that is very interesting.

Interesting that High View was undersubscribed, given the number of people off Northcote Road insisting the area needs a new primary. It's only a 15 minute walk from BTC, OFSTED good and a feeder for Bolingbroke along with the other BTC schools. Perfectly placed to mop up a shortfall.

With the Honeywell and Belleville areas getting so tiny, more of the BTC middle class kids will have to go there so I suspect it's demographic and reputation will change a lot in the next few years.

Yes fascinating.

Lots of change from last year in Balham. Ravenstone's distance was about 600m last year so it's doubled. I think Fircroft's has too. Must be because of Rutherford House - on these figures it is clearly the current favourite.

Oops - no idea why that posted twice. Can someone delete one of them please?

gessi · 22/05/2014 23:02

ok, let me c if i understood correctly: if i live within the number of metres stated next to the school name, i am in the catchment area of that school. RIGHT??

LocalEditorWandsworth · 23/05/2014 18:21

In theory yes Gessi as the council now measure by using straight line distance from the school (it used to be shortest walking route).

Also worth noting that the distances change each year, as illustrated by SW12's comment above.

People were also put off Ravenstone by it's recent Ofsted downgrade

gessi - for most of the schools there is no such thing as catchment. The distance will change each year dependent on siblings

dangalf · 09/06/2014 16:58

mumbleema - think I saw somewhere that High View did a bulge class this year...do not take that as gospel though

mumbleema · 09/06/2014 17:17

Thanks dangalf but I don't think there was a bulge class at HV www.wandsworth.gov.uk/info/200292/regeneration_and_development/489/previous_schools_development_consultations

flabberwasp · 09/06/2014 22:53

High View haven't taken a bulge class before now. I've heard that they might take one this year (on NVN) but not confirmed this with the school or the council. I think it may have been mooted but once things have shaken down locally may not be necessary.
