Can anyone recommend a kitchen designer?

I'm extending my kitchen and need to plan the layout of the kitchen units etc... so that details can be included in the construction drawings as the builders need to know where to put things like gas supply, wiring, plumbing.

The problem is that as it's not built yet I can't visualise the space at all so I was wondering if anyone knew a good kitchen designer? Preferably not one tied to a kitchen showroom as we are too early in the process to commit to actually buying all the stuff yet.

Just posted on another thread! Might be too late for you but I worked with Puccini Kitchens. They're an independent outfit who design supply and fit to your exact specs. Andrew Robertson (might have misremembered surname) designs there and really seems to care about the bespoke approach and getting you the finish you want. For pretty reasonable prices too. They can project manage or work within a project depending on how you're doing it. Might be worth a chat with him in the first instance - 020 3507 1937 or [email protected]. Good luck!
