Help! School and location recommendation - Testbourne, Whitchurch and Overton primaries.

Hi,
we are relocating from Germany. My 2 boys are 7 and 9 so need a primary school but it makes sense to be basing our location around the secondary school.

We have seen Testbourne secondary, Overton and Whitchurch primary schools and liked them all.

My kids are not boistrous rugger type boys, but thoughtful, sensitive, calm, musical, inquiring. They have only been to a International School so have a great global outlook.

I would really appreciate some feedback with anyone at these schools to see if they suit.
Also, what are the locations like? Are they nice places to live, lots to do with kids etc?

My partner needs to commute to Newbury so cant be too far away.

hi Wonderstuff, have you made your choice toward any of those schools? we are also relocating back to the UK from abroad and looking at schools in Witchurch and around

This is an old thread! My kids are Y11 an Y9 now. Testbourne has just had Ofstead (last week) so results on that will be interesting in the new year. I have my eldest in Testboure about to do GCSEs and she's done okay. Moved my yongest to Rookwood, small independent in Andover as he was having a rubbish time in state (neither primary or secondary were great for him).

Andover state secondaries seem to be doing much better these days.
