Quite a lot of local talk about local state Junior schools vs the private education providers. Moyles Court School and Forres Sandle Manor seem to be the most popular of the latter. Moyles Court goes to 16 years. Seems to have good IGCSE structure and they are pleased with scholarship success at 16+. Anyone going to their open mornings during the half term break?

at the state schools IGCSE is used to bump lower ability kids up from D to a C : the syllabus is much simpler in English and Maths that any of the main GCSE boards.

Most independent schools - more than 2/3 - offer IGCSEs. I guess there is a good reason for it.
