Hello. We have moved to Cambridge a few months ago. I am 30 years and I have two children ( almost 3years and 1-year). I don't speak much English. I miss the other mothers with whom I can practice my English. And the kids, of course, need a new friends too.Are there any other mothers in the same situation? Is there mothers language groups, where children can take with you?

Hi Casheww welcome to Cambridge.

Where abouts are you living in Cambridge?

ChestertonCharley · 08/05/2014 12:36

It might be worth contacting the University's Modern Language department?

hello many of the toddler groups in Cambridge will have have lots of people from many different countries and are very friendly - if you let us know where you are we can suggest the nearest ones to you.

We live in Cherry hinton :) i know there is many of toddler groups in here. But i'm too shy to use my english. People are nice but they don't speak to me because i speak so badly.

Did I make many mistakes in this text? ;)

Hi Casheww - your text isn't perfect but it's understandable. I know it's easier to write than speak because you get more time to think! If you can tell us what your native language is, maybe people can help more.

Good luck!
