We're visiting my in laws this weekend in Harpenden. As I will go absolutely bonkers if I have to sit on the sofa from lunch time till supper time making polite conversation, could you make some suggestions for something we could do outside the house? DCs are 9, 7 and 4. Thanks.

Saturday there is the Brambleton model railway club open day at high field oval. Sunday St Albans family fair at the alban arena. Lots of other stuff to do in town, eg watch cricket on the common, various parks including Rothampsted park which has a playground, skate board ramp and zip wire, feed the ducks, big space soft play if the weather is bad. Whipsnade zoo is only 20 mins away
