We are moving to Plymouth in July, initially military housing in Eggbuckland, we hope to buy somewhere in or around plymoutht within the next year. My daughter is due to start in reception this September. We need to apply ASAP. We are thinking to go with eggbuckland sort of area as that is where we will most likely still be in sept. We need 3 choices for schools, does anyone know of good ones? I really want somewhere with lots of outdoor activities and not too big classes! And friendly etc. We had looked at widely court?
Any advice would be great
Thanks

Eggbuckland Vale is a good school, my friend's son goes there and loves it. We looked around it too and it was our second choice.very friendly and lots of outdoor space. Widey has had a few issues in the past few years I believe, but had a change of head last year so things may be on the up. My DS goes to Manadon Vale which is a bit further away but excellent, we are very happy with it.
Regarding class sizes, I'm afraid pretty much all foundation classes around here are close to 30. I can't think of any smaller schools in the area.

Eggbuckland Vale is a great school and lots of the children from the military estate go there. I'm not so keen on Widey Court, but again a lot of children in the estate go there. Other schools to look at are St Edwards Cof E school and Austin Farm. I believe St Edwards is supposed to be good.
