Looking for mums in Ashbourne

Hi everyone, we are moving to Ashbourne in July and I would like to meet local mums. I have an 8 months old son and am not yet going back to work and I'm worried that I will feel a little isolated. Are there any baby groups or meet ups that I could join? Or just another mum who fancies meeting for a cuppa and a chat? Cheers.

Hello! There are lots of baby and toddler groups in Ashbourne so you should be able to find one that's nearby (or several!). Try looking on www.under-fives.org/playgroup.html - I think this list is pretty up-to-date. Moving with a baby is one of the best ways to get to know people as you have an easy route to meeting like-minded people with a similar interest. We relocated when my eldest was 11 months and the toddler groups were a lifesaver in that first year! I'm working pretty much full time at the moment so can't recommend any, but will be finding one myself when I reduce my hours in the summer to go to with my youngest. Perhaps see you there!
