Choosing primary schools in Islington - what is your experience?

What are your experiences of choosing primary schools in Islington? I am a masters student (at the LSE) currently researching my dissertation on how parents make choices about state primary schools, focusing on Islington. For this project I need to talk one-to-one with parents of children who are due to start primary school in September 2014 to find out about their experiences of choosing primary schools. I would like to talk to parents individually for around 30 minutes and the questions I will be asking will be around how you made your choices about which primary schools to apply for. It will be extremely valuable to hear about your experiences and honest opinions! Any information you provide will be treated in confidence and names will be changed in my dissertation. I would be extremely grateful if you or anyone you know would be willing to take part - please message me for more details. To thank you for your time I'll buy you a coffee/cake in a local café whilst doing the interview and am also be running a small prize draw (for a gift voucher) for parents taking part. Thanks, Jo

Hello, I live in Islington and can say that their are many good Primary Schools in here. However, I moved out of Islington for my Secondary School which I currently attend. The BBC Website gives an insight on the primary school league and neighbouring boroughs. I hope that a teenagers insight will be helpful.www.bbc.co.uk/news/special/education/school_tables/primary/12/html/l5_206.stm?compare=

I'm happy to talk to you. My daughter is starting reception in an Islington primary in September, though she is a younger sibling, so our choice was actually made a couple of years earlier. If you'd still like to interview me, fee free to pm me.
