Breastfeeding hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons again this week, after news broke of a mother being asked to leave a branch of Sports Direct after she breastfed her baby there. It's hugely important, of course, that we all pick up on stories such as this, and offer support to mothers who are made to feel embarrassed or uncomfortable about feeding their children when they're out and about - but at times it can feel like playing catch-up.

It seemed to us that we could take this opportunity to change the rules of the game, and start celebrating those places - and companies - that make feeding on the move easy and enjoyable. So we are trying to create a breastfeeding map of the UK, featuring great feeding spots iup and down the country.

To do this, we need you to tell us the best spots in your area to feed your DC.

Whether it's a park bench overlooking a nice duck pond or a particularly cosy corner of a café please add them to this thread and we'll pass along to MNHQ for inclusion in the national map.

There is a dedicated baby care area at the Putney Exchange with a feeding area with comfy chairs.

Although to be honest I'm not sure creating dedicated areas like that really helps - we should be able to BF anywhere and not need hidden areas!

Saying that, I never had any problem bf'ing anywhere in Wandsworth. I did once get a complaint from a middle aged woman in a café on the Kings Road. Apparently, it was offputting when she was trying to enjoy a relaxing latte. My response was even more offputting and she quickly left Grin
