Breastfeeding in public in Ealing - help us create a breastfeeding map

It's time to make breastfeeding in public places easier and more enjoyable.

We would love to hear about your views and experiences of nursing out and about in Ealing to create a breastfeeding map.

Our local companies can then be awarded with "BF friendly" badges, etc. Possibilities are endless!

Let the revolution begin!

I find Ealing very bf friendly, you get a few looks here and there, but ignorant people are everywhere. Ealing is also fully of organisations for bf support which helped me enormously during the first weeks. a map would be useful.

I haven't had a negative experience yet but I am very conscious and try to be as discreet as I can. My DS is only 3 weeks so it's easy to do so. Also, I have only tried Ealing Broadway Centre shops so far.

In the 14 months that I have been feeding DS, I have fed him in many places and was lucky not to get any looks. As a PP said, Ealing is very Bf friendly. I especially liked feeding him in Carluccios, Cafe Rouge, Costa Coffee and Starbucks. In the summer I also fed him often while sat on the benches in Walpole Park, also on the benches outside Waitrose.

Like the other posters, I found Ealing a very friendly place to BF. Particularly good is Cafe Nero Ealing Broadway - staff are always helpful and willing to carry your tray for you if you have baby in tow. Likewise M&S Cafe. Never had any problems with funny looks or comments (or not that I noticed anyway!)

That's good to hear, ladies. Keep them coming.

We hear there is a "Nurse-In" tomorrow at 2pm in Sports Direct, Ealing Broadway branch. It would be interesting to see their reaction.

Hello,

Here is the event page for tommorow's nurse-in.

Be lovely to see you there :)
Everyone welcome :)

For those who are wondering how the event went - there were 12 women and Sports Direct ended up calling the Police!

The article in Ealingtoday.co.uk can be found here

We can safely say that Sports Direct hasn't made it to our bf-friendly map!
