G12 kingsborough gate

We are moving to Glasgow from Germany this summer and are looking at a rental flat at Kingsborough Gate. Any Info about the area or building would be helpful as I may have to commit before viewing in person ...yikes... Thanks

Oh it's a lovely area. You are in Hyndland which is a leafy area, lots of little shops and close to Byres Road with supermarkets/coffee shops and within walking distance of Hillhead subway/Botanic Gardens.

There are many German people living in this area, working at the university and for the NHS - there are five children with at least one German parent in DD2's class at school. There is also a German Kinder Club which is very active at a nearby church in Observatory Road which operates on a Monday morning.

I don't know the building but the area is a mixture of Victorian tenements and new-build flats. The only downside is that parking can be a bit difficult in the evenings.

Oh sorry evansgal - I just assumed! But yes it is a lovely area, lots of young families.
