Hi there, I'm looking for some info on Dartmouth. My Mum is thinking of relocating. She currently lives in a housing association house which is latched on to a rather affluent area which is therefore very quiet, looked after and great for when the kids go to stay. Being housing association she can 'swap' with another housing association/council tenant. We are wondering what the housing estates are like in Dartmouth and if there are any specific roads/areas to avoid?

Hi zephyrcat. My dh's grandparents live in housing association housing in dartmouth. I think the vast majority if not all the housing association housing is in the Townstal part of town which is up a very big hill from the main town.

They have lived there all their lives and are very happy especially since a lidl and a sainsbury's have opened nearby!

I'm not sure if there are any bad roads/areas but as i don't actually live there myself I couldn't say for sure.

My main issue would be the number of tourists in the town itself!
