Hi I hope you dont mind me psoting here but I thought it might be a good place to start.

Im starting to look for a house in or around braintree where my dp currently lives. He has so far given me obviously braintree and the black notley, great notley, within and rayne areas as possibilities.

I was wondering if there was anymore areas I should consider looking into. Dp says Colchester is too far as we need to stay relatively close to his parents as thats why he is with them at the moment. He's unsure about other areas due to fact they only moved there 6 months ago.

I'm not sure that you'll get a lot of replies on here as the Essex boards are very quiet. You'll probably be able to get lots of advice on the main MN property board instead though. I'm afraid that I'm south of Chelmsford and although we very nearly bought a house in Great Notley a few years ago, I don't know a lot about the area.
